Open the API platform
Sign in to the OpenAI API platform.
Set up billing

Set a low limit
If you use automatic recharge, set its monthly recharge limit. Review OpenAI usage limits.
Create your key
Create a secret key, copy it, and paste it into MotorTranslator. Never send it by email or support ticket.
Set up Mistral AI.
Mistral AI follows the same principle: your account, your key, your usage limit.

Sign in to Mistral Studio.

Activate paid API usage if needed, then review the billing controls.
Set a monthly limit
Set an organization or workspace limit before your first production batch. Read Mistral's usage limits.
Create your key
Create a key named MotorTranslator, with an optional expiration date, then paste it into the app.
Keep it simple
Your first translation is the right test.
Set a small budget, create the key, then test a few real documents with MotorTranslator. Increase your provider limit only when you are ready for larger batches.
Key safety
Never send an API key by email, in a support ticket, or in a screenshot. If a key is exposed, revoke it in the provider dashboard and create a new one.
